Great Western Oil and Gas Company, LLC (GWOG), is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with field operations based in Windsor, Colorado. GWOG commenced activity late in 2005. Our core area of operations is in one of the most prolific and active areas, along the western flank of the Wattenberg field, within the Denver Julesburg (DJ) Basin, Colorado. The DJ Basin is a 70,000 square mile hydrocarbon-rich area extending over northeast Colorado into southeast Wyoming and southwest Nebraska. More than 52,000 wells have been drilled in the DJ with an extensive inventory of development and upside potential remaining. Horizontal drilling and multi-stage hydraulic fracture completions in the Niobrara have ignited a new wave of activity and brought substantial results. The DJ Basin offers several competitive strengths; lower cost development, low lifting costs, long-lived production and reserves, existing gathering/processing/transportation infrastructure in place and a well established service sector presence. Enersource, Horizon Utilities, PowerStream Officially Become Alectra Inc. January 31, 2017 Three leading Ontario electrical utilities have merged to become Alectra Inc. This milestone was reached today almost two years after Enersource, Horizon Utilities and PowerStream announced their intention to merge and acquire Hydro One Brampton. Alectra Inc. will complete the acquisition of Hydro One Brampton on February 28, 2017. The merger creates one of the largest municipally-owned electricity utilities in Canada, serving approximately one million homes and businesses in the growing Greater Golden Horseshoe Area.
