Vermont Law School (Vermont’s only law school) makes its home here, drawing students from all over the world, creating a diverse multicultural community. We have the best of all worlds: several working farms keep our food close to the source, a quick commute to the manufacturing industry in Bethel and Randolph, as well as the culture of Dartmouth College, the cutting edge medical facility that is Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, employment, shopping and entertainment in the Upper Valley towns of Lebanon and Hanover. Our school, a unique Kindergarten through twelfth grade institution, produces well educated young people who are accepted into prestigious institutions such as Dartmouth College and Stanford University.
The Imperial County Workforce Development Board (ICWDB) serves as an advisory board to the County of Imperial Board of Supervisors. ICWDB members are appointed to serve by their respective Board of Supervisor. The Board is comprised of community leaders representing private industry, nonprofits, and public agencies and is mandated by federal legislation to oversee public investments in employment and training programs. This responsibility is accomplished through the activities of the Imperial County Workforce Development Office.
