BioAmber is a renewable chemistry company. We use agricultural crops and transform them into green chemicals that directly substitute chemicals derived from oil. BioAmber combines industrial biotechnology and chemical catalysis into a process that offers a better carbon footprint than petrochemicals. In addition to moving away from petroleum, our process consumes CO2, directly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and aiding in the fight against global warming.
