Seeing a gap in the marketplace, we sought to simplify complex operations for higher education. Knowing that institutions have major concerns regarding compliance adherence, and are plagued with paper, antiquated systems, difficult workflows, rising costs, and changing education models—we knew it had to make a difference in helping schools and students get enrolled, financed, and employed. The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) is an independent authority within the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). FirstNet was designed to improve communication among local, state, regional, tribal and national emergency services personnel. Created by the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act signed Feb. 22, 2012, FirstNet`s mission is to establish, deploy and maintain the first high-speed, nationwide wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety. The broadband data network fulfills a fundamental need of the public safety community for a single, mission-critical communications system enabling force multiplier effectiveness and is a key recommendation of the 9/11 Commission.
