igus® GmbH, based in Cologne, Germany, has been manufacturing engineered plastics for more than 50 years, and develops each of the engineered plastic materials and all technology behind its products. igus® Inc. was founded in Rhode Island 30 years ago in 1985, and moved to a new 157,500 square foot location in Rumford in 2013. Today, igus® Inc. employs more than 280 individuals; 170 in Rhode Island, of which 85 are production related employees. igus® also employs a total of 85 outside sales representative located across the North America for quick one-on-one service for our customers.
