In 2008 Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric, the leading Chinese railway power electronics systems provider, acquired Dynex providing the perfect platform to enter the Chinese market, as well as the provision of state of the art R&D facilities in China and Lincoln which has allowed us to improve and expand R&D and production capabilities. Dynex design, develop and manufacture a range of bipolar and IGBT modules and devices, including wafer fabrication, assembly and test. In addition we have a power electronic assembly group who can design and manufacture a range of systems to meet specific customer requirements for electrical, thermal and mechanical performance – including customised power conversion products for a wide array of applications in power grid, electric vehicle, rectification, pulse power, and motor drives. Recently we have benefitted from the CRRC expertise in electric drive and control systems in the traction industry and are applying that technology to the hybrid and pure electric vehicle markets.
