Founded in 1992, Horizon began developing software for inventory management, order processing, menu planning and production systems for schools. Solutions for central warehouse, central kitchen, and USDA commodity management were added soon after. Point of Sale was added to our offerings in 1997 to meet the demands of our customers, who wanted a POS system as successful as their back of house was, and wanted one provider for all their technology needs. Fast forward to today…operating as a unit of Roper Industries, (ROP: NYSE), with sister food service technology companies such as CBORD and iTradeNetwork, Horizon is headquartered in Duluth, GA, and is a Microsoft Gold Independent Software Vendor.
