The Peabody Essex Museum is North America`s oldest and fastest growing museum. Its founders were among the nation`s first global entrepreneurs, traveling the world in search of trade. After a $200 million transformation in 2003, which included over 250,000 square feet of new and renovated galleries and public spaces, the museum ranks among the largest art museums on the East Coast, with a vibrant schedule of exhibitions and public programs. In November 2011, PEM announced an unprecedented $650 million Advancement Campaign, toward which $570 million has already been raised.
