Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintain and strengthen business partnerships by demonstrating an understanding of business fundamentals and awareness of what is important in terms of achieving business results and proactively adjust HR strategies to respond to changing needs.
• Protect interests of employees in accordance with human resources policies and appropriate governmental laws and regulations
• Provide value to leaders and the business through conducting detailed analyses of organizational needs and contributing people-based strategies and solutions, which directly impact business results
• Partner with business leaders to link key objectives with measurements
• Provide solutions in support of cross functional initiatives and consider the impact to the entire business
• Assist in the development of HR philosophies, approaches and policies to ensure consistent application and equitable implementation
• Foster an environment of employee engagement and promote effective human resources practices to minimize potential liability and risk and further a positive environment.
• Provide counsel to employees and leadership on conflict resolution, discipline and terminations. Investigate causes of disputes and recommends resolutions and/or corrective action
• Research and introduce human resources best practice concepts to ensure the organization is leveraging leading edge human resources concepts and proactively considering new strategies
• Complete all training requirements according to completion schedule
• Remain aware of the latest trends and legal/regulatory changes affecting Human Resources practices
• Management of a small team of HR employees at the assigned plant
Qualifications:
• Bachelor`s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and 7-10 years of Human Resources Experience. A Master`s degree in Human Resources is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding human resources
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and HRIS
• Strong verbal and written communications, presentation, facilitation and customer service skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
• Effective coaching skills
• Strong technical/functional knowledge of HR practices and alignment with business strategy
