Green Tree School and Services (GTSS) is a nonprofit, state-licensed agency that provides education, therapeutic and clinical support to children ages 5-21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Severe Emotional Disability. GTSS only serves children whose disabilities are such that they are unable to succeed in a school- based special education program or participate in out of school activities. Rates of both diagnosis are growing, with 1 in 68 children currently affected by Autism and 1 in 78 children affected by Emotional Disability. GTSS’ philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child should have the opportunity to learn the academic, social, emotional, and vocational and life skills they need to achieve resiliency and succeed in their learning, living and working environments. GTSS has worked with children and young adults with special needs since 1957, marking over a half century of Transforming Lives and Impacting Communities. GTSS offers a variety of on-site and off-site services to children with special needs, both directly and through their home school or district. The Approved Private School educates children whose disabilities prevent them from succeeding in a traditional special education program.
