With a bold mission to entertain and unite the city through basketball, the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club is committed to making Atlantans proud on the court and off. During their 50 years in Atlanta the Hawks made the postseason for 10 consecutive seasons from 2008–2017 and became the 2014-15 Southeast Division Champions, reaching the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history in 2015. Under the leadership of principal owner Tony Ressler and vice chair of the board and basketball icon Grant Hill, the organization has built a culture of inclusion, diversity and innovation, all with a touch of Southern Hospitality. That continues into the community where the team builds bridges through basketball, through programs such a constructing and refurbishing public courts in metro Atlanta neighborhoods and providing scholarships to its basketball camps and clinics. The home of the Hawks, State Farm Arena hosts approximately 160 events and nearly 2 million guests annually with a capacity of more than 17,000. A 100 percent smoke-free campus, State Farm Arena is consistently ranked among the top 10 concert and event venues in the world. October 2018 will see the culmination of the nearly $200 million renovation that will re-imagine the building from the roofline to the baseline with better sightlines, massive video displays, the right-sized suite for every business, and great food and drink.
