The key Academy apparatus will include: Boeing 767 for parabolic flight, high-gravity human centrifuge, 4-million+ gallon neutral buoyancy tank, hypobaric and hyperbaric chambers, and a host of other supporting facilities and equipment to come. STAR HARBORs vision is to foster a thriving culture of collaboration by establishing an environment where all explorers, students, trainees, researchers, government, military, industry and entrepreneurs can work in tandem. Workstead is an award-winning, multidisciplinary design firm established in 2009. Since its founding, Workstead has earned acclaim for one-of-a-kind projects that are comprehensive in vision and exacting in detail. Stefanie Brechbuehler, Robert Highsmith, and Ryan Mahoney oversee Workstead’s creative practice from studios in Brooklyn and Hudson, New York. Workstead`s Brooklyn studio, which focuses on interior and building commissions, is sought-after by homeowners and hospitality entrepreneurs for evocative places that reflect the spirit of the client, site, and community. Workstead dedicates its Hudson, New York, studio and showroom to lighting. Workstead conceives lighting for its own interiors and building projects, and it designs lighting collections for online sale to trade professionals and retail consumers.
