The Columbus Crew is a American professional soccer team based in Columbus, Ohio that participates in Major League Soccer. The Crew has won five major trophies: MLS Cup 2008, the 2004, 2008 and 2009 Supporters' Shields, and the 2002 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The club was owned by Lamar Hunt, who also owned the Kansas City Chiefs and FC Dallas. To date, Hunt Sports Group has ownership. The Crew currently plays their home games at Columbus Crew Stadium, the first soccer-specific stadium ever built by an MLS franchise. The nickname ""the Crew"" is the result of a local fan contest. The team colors are black and gold.

The team will be known as the Delaware 87ers, and will be nicknamed the "Sevens”. The Sevens are the NBADL affiliate of the NBA Philadelphia 76ers, and are owned by the Sixers. The 87ers will play at the University of Delaware`s Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Del. During the 2013-14 NBA D-League season, which runs from November through April.
