ShareWaves Overview: We continue to build a youth sports foundation that provides positive, game-changing solutions for children in under-resourced communities. We are helping kids play the games they love. Who We Are: ShareWaves is a 501c3 public charity working to deliver high-quality sports experiences to kids in under-resourced communities. Launched almost 3 years ago, ShareWaves is targeting children from any home that experiences multi-layered barriers to sports access and are less likely to receive the support they need. Our Why? The gap between "the haves" and the "have nots" is getting wider. Without access to sports and structured play, kids miss critical benefits, including physical health, social-emotional growth, and academic development. Emergent Issue!!! COVID restrictions further limited access to organized sports and extracurricular activities causing kids to lose an entire year of life-skill development, social interactions, and academic interruptions. ShareWaves is targeting several ways to help kids recover by delivering tangible impact to children suffering and delivering programs of significance to kids in need. 5 Key Initiatives: 1. Provide micro-funding grants to assist in connecting kids to high-quality sports experiences. 2. Build #Ready2Play Training Experiences for Kids and the #Ready2Play app. 3. Create digital content that showcases the "power of sports" to transform young lives. 4. Lead the formation of a KC Youth Sports Alliance (KC-YSA) 5. Host high-energy, one-of-a-kind events that raise awareness and support our mission. Children in our city need us now more than ever as they experience an avalanche of pressure this fall returning from extended periods of social isolation, educational uncertainty, and inactivity caused by COVID. We work to develop strong impact partnerships with like-minded individuals and organizations that want help kids heal.
Harvey Performance Company, established in 1985 and based in Rowley, Massachusetts, is a prominent designer and manufacturer of specialty carbide cutting tools for precision machining. The company operates under five brands: Harvey Tool, Helical Solutions, Micro 100, Titan USA, and CoreHog, with additional facilities in Gorham, Maine; Meridian, Idaho; and West Springfield, Massachusetts. With a workforce of around 350 employees, it is led by President and CEO Peter Jenkins. The company specializes in high-performance cutting tools, including micro-tools, end mills, and custom tooling solutions, tailored for industries such as aerospace, medical devices, electronics, telecommunications, and general machining. Harvey Performance is known for its fast service, comprehensive product support, and technical expertise, catering to manufacturers that require extreme precision and tight tolerances. The company also actively participates in community initiatives and workforce development, supporting local technical schools and charitable events.
First branch of Banka Kombëtare Tregtare was established in Durrës on 29 November 1925, in the historical building where todays BKT Durrës Branch is situated. This building actually represents the oldest Albanian financial institution in the country. Banka Kombëtare Tregtare (BKT), with todays name, was established in January 1993, after the merging of the Albanian Commercial Bank (ACB) and the National Bank of Albania (NBA). The NBA on the other hand was established in 1992 as a result of a second sub-division of the State Bank of Albania. The NBA was set up to manage the domestic trading activity of the State-owned entities. The assets and liabilities from the activities of these two entities were transferred to BKT accounts since it was first established. Banka Kombëtare Tregtare was established as a Joint Stock Company in July 1997, with assets reaching ALL 2.7 billion. In February 2003, with the decision of the Shareholders General Meeting, the paid-up capital reached the amount of US$ 14, 64 million, turning BKT into the most capitalized bank in the whole Albanian banking system. The year 2006 started with a new vision for BKT. With the authorization of the Bank of Albania and pursuant to the specific court decision issued on June 9, 2006, it was approved the transfer of 60% plus 2 of the BKT shares possessed by Kent Bank in favour of Calik-Seker Konsorsiyum Yatirim A.S. On September 3, BKT opened its branch in Kosova and since that time, BKT Kosova has already opened 27 branches, ranking Banka Kombëtare Tregtare as the largest Albanian bank in the region. On June 30, 2009 Çalik Financial Services buys to IFC and EBRD shares being in this way the only BKT shareholder owning 100 % of the shares. On 30th April 2018 Banka Kombëtare Tregtare Kosova Branch, changes its status from Branch of a Foreign Bank to a subsidiary Bank. Now, its banking license has changed from Banka Kombëtare Tregtare Kosova Branch, to Banka Kombëtare Tregtare Kosovë J.S.C.
