Welcome to Coronado, one of the most unique and beautiful beachfront cities in the world! Measuring only 13.5 square miles and located just minutes from downtown San Diego, this enchanted “island” has it all – beaches, parks, numerous recreational activities, highly rated schools, top notch municipal services, a wonderful climate and an ideal location. Although frequently referred to as an island, Coronado is actually a peninsula connected to San Diego to the east by the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and to Imperial Beach to the south by State Highway 75. To promote economic vitality and strength in Coronado; to be a leading public policy advocate for business in Coronado; to provide valuable services to our members; and, to fully participate and partner in initiatives that protect and improve the quality of life in Coronado.
Kiwanis International is a global community of clubs, members and partners dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time. Today, we stand with more than 600,000 members from K-Kids to Key Club to Kiwanis and many ages in between in more than 80 countries. Each community has different needs, and Kiwanis empowers members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children, such as fighting hunger, improving literacy and offering guidance. Kiwanis clubs host nearly 150,000 service projects each year.
