Shamrock Capital is a Los Angeles-based investment firm. We invest through two distinct strategies: Private Equity and Content. Our Private Equity strategy makes majority and minority investments, including buyouts, growth equity and recapitalizations, in leading middle market companies across our target sectors. Our Content strategy invests in and/or finances entertainment intellectual property and media rights across a diverse set of asset classes that includes film, TV, music, games, sports and many others. We believe we are uniquely qualified to invest in our target sectors given our rich heritage that traces back to 1978, when our predecessor firm was founded as the family investment company for the late Roy E. Disney. Today, Shamrock is a fully independent, institutionally backed firm with leading group of investors including endowments, foundations, pensions and sovereign wealth funds.

UTIMCO is a 501(c)(3) corporation modeled after investment management companies organized by Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, and Duke Universities to invest their respective assets. UTIMCO is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, consisting of at least three members of the UT System Board, four independent directors with substantial background and expertise in investments appointed by the UT System Board, and two members appointed by the Texas A&M System Board, one of whom must have a substantial background and expertise in investments. UTIMCO`s governance structure is designed both to preserve ultimate regental control of investments for fiduciary purposes and to increase the level of expertise in the governance of investments.
