The Great Lakes Biodiesel plant is completed and started production in 2013. It is the largest biodiesel plant in Eastern Canada.   The plant has received approvals by Natural Resources Canada ecoENERGY for Biofuels Program and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. It has also passed an environmental assessment carried out in accordance with the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act.
