Office Practicum was originally conceived and designed in 1992 by a team of programmers and pediatricians at Visual Data, LLC, a software company based in New York City. Visual Data focused on delivering software solutions for pediatricians and pediatric offices. The initial Office Practicum Pediatric EHR included encounter notes, prescription chronologies, growth curves, vaccine tracking and school/camp forms. It soon grew to become the robust, all-in-one software suite – encompassing billing and a practice management system (PMS) – that is today trusted by pediatricians across the United States. In 2007, Visual Data merged with another software company, Anderson Financial Systems (AFS), to form Connexin Software, Inc., the present home of Office Practicum. Today, serving the needs of pediatricians remains the singular focus of Connexin Software. Office Practicum exemplifies that commitment, as we continue to work with pediatricians, office staff and hospital-based clinics to develop and enhance its capabilities.
