Our client is seeking to hire a CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER to work alongside the CEO and COO of the company. Currently our client, a large Telecom/Wireless Solutions provider located in the US, has recently opened a new manufacturing facility and sales division in Europe.
This individual will directly support the initiatives of the CEO and will manage technical teams consisting of both infrastructure and software development for both US and European Operations. This position will also establish the technical vision and leads all aspects of the company`s technological development for both engineering and manufacturing.
Since this is a new position, our client is looking for a seasoned professional who can bring their guidance and expertise to advance IT capabilities in the US and be able to establish a new IT infrastructure from the ground-up in Europe.
International travel is required and the individual must have or be able to obtain a US passport.
Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop information systems policies and procedures, plan, organize, and ensure functionality, performance and profitability of the MIS Department
- Enforce policies and procedures to protect the organization and customers
- Responsible for monitoring technical trends, suggesting enhancements; participate in training programs company-wide
- Ensures control of IT and IO department budgets
Qualifications:
- BS in Information Technology or related field with at least 12 years of management and/or strategic experience
- Have an understanding of the compliance and risk guidelines as it pertains to the data protection framework established in Europe, along with other IT Standards and Practices
