We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Director of People (HR) who cares as much about the people around them as getting the job done. Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the successful candidate will provide leadership in managing the day-to-day and high level execution of policies and procedures around employee relations, talent management and acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, and legal compliance.
People Development & Retention:
• Collaborate with the CPO on annual goals and strategy that align with the Mezzetta culture and our core values.
• Build relationships with leadership teams and employees as a trusted advisor and custodian of the culture.
• Manage the performance management system administration/design.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Collaborate on goals and strategy and manage HR and compensation policies, infrastructure, and processes to support the culture of Mezzetta.
• Manage compensation and benefits design/administration
HR Systems, Programs & Compliance:
• Set goals and strategy to align with Company business goals through managing all HR Systems and continues to evaluate, analyze, design, and maintain company Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Continually evaluate reporting needs.
• Maintain management guidelines and enhances the company`s human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resource policies, policies and practices; review existing policies with ability to recommend new approaches for continuous improvement of the HR function in alignment with organization`s values; prepares and maintains associated handbooks on policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor`s degree required; Master`s degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 or more years` progressive experience in the HR field; most recent experience as a Director of Human Resources for 250+ employees.
• Minimum three years people management experience.
• PHR certification required, SHPR certification preferred.
• Vision of HR as a people focused organization.
• Must be a team player and be able to develop great relationships both within and outside the HR team.
• An ideal candidate will also have a practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving and thrive in fast-paced environment, tempered by an appreciation of complexity and risk.
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in working through complex transactions, with the ability to analyze, problem solve and communicate observations and recommendations.
• Candidate should demonstrate strong business acumen, and be able to quickly learn and understand the financials and operational levers of the business.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
