The primary ITS mission is to facilitate, coordinate or implement information technologies that effectively enable the institutional missions of research, teaching, learning, and outreach. This is accomplished by identifying systems, services, and capabilities that will have a substantive impact on the community and delivering them robustly and at scale.
Founded in 1967, the University of South Carolina Upstate is one of the nation`s top public regional universities. What began as a commitment to helping the state avoid a nursing shortage has matured into a more than $500 million annual impact on South Carolina. Located in Spartanburg County, near the crossroads of interstates 85 and 26, USC Upstate is positioned at the center of an international business hub between Atlanta and Charlotte, N.C. We are a major producer of talent for the region, boasting more than 6,000 students, 1,300 new graduates per year, and about 30,000 alumni, many of whom live and work in South Carolina.
The California Community Colleges is the largest higher educational system in the nation comprised of 72 districts and 110 colleges with more than 2.6 million students per year. Community colleges supply workforce training and basic skills education, prepare students for transfer to four-year institutions and offer opportunities for personal enrichment and lifelong learning. The Chancellor`s Office provides leadership, advocacy and support under the direction of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges.
The College includes three campuses and more than 20 off-campus sites in 15 counties. Our Beatrice campus is located in a city of 12,805 and our Milford campus is at home in a community of 2,071. Our Lincoln campus is located in the capital city of 232,362. Each location offers individual benefits—from rural friendliness and small city energy to metropolitan ambience. In addition to our campus locations, SCC serves 15 counties located in southeast Nebraska with courses operated through the College Continuing Education division. Counties included in the SCC service area are Saunders, York, Seward, Lancaster, Cass, Otoe, Fillmore, Saline, Thayer, Jefferson, Gage, Johnson, Nemaha, Pawnee and Richardson. The general College Administrative Offices are located at 301 S. 68th Street Place in Lincoln. This SCC System Office provides the central coordination for the College, serving as the administrative unit for the SCC campuses and 15-county service area.
