Four Oaks Bank

The Bank of Four Oaks was chartered in June of 1912, in Four Oaks, North Carolina, with a capital investment of $10,000. B. I. Tart was the Bank’s first Cashier (executive officer) until 1927. Bert Lassiter became Cashier in 1927 and served in that role until 1970. The Bank weathered the Depression of the early 1930’s and was the 134th bank in the state allowed to open after the “Bank Holiday” in 1933. Edward Bert Lassiter became Cashier in 1970 and served until 1980. Presently, Ayden R. Lee, Jr., who joined the Bank of Four Oaks in 1980, serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. As the Bank began to open branch offices outside of Four Oaks, and with further plans for expansion, in 1989 the Bank of Four Oaks became Four Oaks Bank and Trust. In 1997, Four Oaks Fincorp, Inc., the holding company for Four Oaks Bank, was formed. The Bank’s Financial Services was created in 1999, and in 2002, Four Oaks Mortgage was formed.
