Paterson is a city in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the city population was 149,222. Census population projections indicate a population of 148,708 as of 2006, making it New Jersey`s third largest city. It is the county seat of Passaic County. Paterson is known as the "Silk City" for its dominant role in silk production during the later 19th century.

The Mississippi Division of Medicaid, in the Office of the Governor, is designated by state statute as the single state agency responsible for administering Medicaid in Mississippi. The Mississippi Division of Medicaid has more than 900 employees located throughout one central office, 30 regional offices and over 80 outstations. Each state runs its own Medicaid program within federal guidelines, jointly funded by state and federal dollars. For Medicaid, the Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) is used to calculate the amount of federal matching funds for state medical services expenditures. The Social Security Act requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to calculate and publish the FMAP annually. The mission of the Office of State Examiner, Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service, is to administer an effective, cost-efficient civil service system based on merit, efficiency, fitness, and length of service, consistent with the law and professional standards, for fire fighters and police officers in all municipalities in the State having populations of not less than 7,000 nor more than 500,000 inhabitants to which the law applies, and in all parish fire departments and fire protection districts regardless of population, in order to provide a continuity in quality of law enforcement and fire protection for the citizens of the State in rural and urban areas.
