The State University of New York Polytechnic Institute is a public university with campuses in the town of Marcy in the Utica–Rome metropolitan area and Albany, New York. It is part of the State University of New York system.

Thomas Jefferson University is a private university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Established in its earliest form in 1824, the university officially combined with Philadelphia University in 2017. To signify its heritage, the university sometimes carries the nomenclature Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) in its branding.
