is seeking dynamic applicants for the position of Chief Marketing Officer in the Marketing & Enrollment Management division. This is a full-time position with benefits located in 7 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY 12203.
Summary
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for leading an aggressive restructuring and expansion of the college`s brand, marketing communications, and digital marketing strategy. The CMO will also be responsible for leading a group of dedicated directors, managers, and strategists to achieve success in a highly competitive on-line higher education landscape.
Responsibilities
• Drive brand architecture development and value proposition-based communications for all degree and non-degree academic products, ensuring differentiation, integration and continuity across the College`s academic ecosystem.
• Guide and develop the product marketing function to drive market research, user segmentation, market analysis & insights, and competitive analysis to support market planning and go-to-market business process.
• Lead and manage cross-functional teams to develop measurable, ROI-driven student acquisition and retention marketing strategies.
• Co-develop, co-lead and advocate for College wide initiatives that lift the student experience and evolve the student journey to the highest levels of student satisfaction, thereby lifting referrals, WOM, student loyalty, and increase in Net Promoter Score.
• Contribute to the market success of the academic product portfolio through a deep knowledge of the college`s market, customers and competitors and how this informs the prioritization and delivery of the academic product roadmap and strategy.
• Lead marketing innovation initiatives across all digital media platforms while ensuring maximum efficiency and ROI across existing digital channels including .EDU, SEM, social and content marketing.
• Define marketing KPI`s based on internal and external benchmarks, meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
Qualifications
• Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience in marketing; Master`s degree is preferred.
• Experience with communication management systems required. Knowledge of CRM technology is preferred.
• Five years of progressive management experience, ideally in higher education, is preferred.
• Successful track record in marketing management including preparation of marketing plans and budgets, the conduct and evaluation of market research, and creation and monitoring of marketing plan outcomes.
• Significant experience in marketing services nationally, business to business and business to consumer marketing, and managing marketing/advertising agency relationships is preferred.
• A record of success in marketing a diverse product/service line is a plus, as is experience with digital marketing.
