The biggest community hospital in Vermont and the second largest hospital in the state, Rutland Regional Medical Center has been providing high quality healthcare to the Rutland Region for more than 100 years. As the needs of our community have grown and changed, so has Rutland Regional, adding services, staff and facilities. Today, Rutland Regional Medical Center is a 123-bed hospital, employing over 1,600 professional and support staff including 227 providers trained in 36 specialty areas. Providing preventive, diagnostic, acute and rehabilitative services, Rutland Regional Medical Center serves Rutland County, portions of southern and central Vermont and communities in eastern New York State. The hospital`s medical staff is supported by excellent nurses, high quality diagnostic and ancillary services and a broad array of sophisticated equipment technology, including advanced diagnostic imaging, a top-of-the-line linear accelerator used in the treatment of cancer patients, and a diagnostic Cardiovascular and Angiographic Lab. The Heartland Center for Behavioral Change is a private, not for profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to providing substance abuse and other behavioral healthcare services to Missouri residents. Founded in 1982 as the Kansas City Community Center, we deliver hope, healing and recovery to people who are struggling with addiction and other life problems. Our comprehensive services have helped tens of thousands of people begin a new life — free of alcohol and drugs.
Providence is a community hospital affiliated with Prime Healthcare. Providence is also affiliated with Saint John Hospital, located in Leavenworth, Kan. More than 1,300 skilled and qualified individuals provide nursing, medical and support services. Staff along with about 200 devoted volunteers help us serve the health needs of Wyandotte, Leavenworth and northern Johnson counties and surrounding areas. We are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC). Providence is also certified as a Medicare/Medicaid provider and approved to accept many major health insurance plans. Providence has been awarded two UnitedHealth Premium Specialty Center three-star designations for quality and cost efficiency. Three stars is the highest level awarded. The Providence Joint Center received the UnitedHealth Premium Total Joint Replacement Specialty Center designation; and the Providence Spine Center received the UnitedHealth Premium Surgical Spine Specialty Center designation.
