SutroVax

SutroVax is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the delivery of best-in-class conjugate vaccines and novel complex antigen-based vaccines to prevent serious infectious diseases. SutroVax`s lead product candidate is a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) that is designed to prevent invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae. SutroVax`s broad-spectrum PCV is designed to provide expanded protection against circulating strains of pneumococcus and has the potential to replace the current vaccines used in infants and adults. The current mainstay vaccine only covers approximately 40% of the circulating strains causing IPD yet generates $6B in annual sales. SutroVax has generated positive pre-clinical proof-of-concept with its significantly broader-spectrum PCV compared head-to-head to current vaccines using well accepted immunological endpoints. In addition to its lead PCV product candidate, the Company also has a promising early-stage pipeline addressing other important disease areas. SutroVax`s conjugate vaccines are developed utilizing the Company`s exclusive rights to Sutro Biopharma`s Xpress CF Platform, a cell-free protein synthesis technology. SutroVax closed its $85M Series C round in May of 2018 and is financed by a world-class syndicate of private equity, venture capital and corporate venture investors with over $170M in capital raised since 2015.

Trevena

Trevena is a publicly traded clinical stage biopharmaceutical company based in King of Prussia, PA, dedicated to the discovery and development of GPCR biased ligands. Established in late 2007, Trevena was created to translate groundbreaking research on GPCR signaling into a new generation of medicines. We have three programs in clinical development: TRV027, currently in phase 2 clinical testing for the treatment of acute heart failure; TRV130, currently in phase 2 testing for the intraveneous treatment of postoperative pain; and TRV734, currently in phase 1 testing for oral treatment of acute and chronic pain. In addition, Trevena has built an early-stage portfolio of drug discovery programs currently in lead optimization. G protein coupled receptors are the targets for more than 30% of all currently marketed therapeutics. There is significant opportunity to improve upon currently marketed GPCR drugs because many have limited efficacy and undesirable adverse effects, which can prevent broader use. Furthermore, many GPCRs are linked to diseases but cannot be translated into medicines because of specific target-related adverse effects. Trevena's biased ligand approach has the potential to address these problems across a wide range of receptors and therapeutic areas.

Modern Meadow

Modern Meadow was founded on the belief that customers should not have to choose between performance and sustainability. Additionally, we believe that people should not have to choose between a career that helps them achieve their personal goals and a career with purpose. Achieving both personal and professional goals with purpose is possible at Modern Meadow, and we invite qualified professionals to apply for positions of interest. At the intersection of biotechnology and material science, Modern Meadow designs materials solutions for the way we want the world to perform. We are pioneers of biofabrication, building with biology. This enbables us to harness unique properties of proteins to move the world away from petrochemical and animal-derived inputs, leading a shift to the bioeconomy. Modern Meadow Biofabricated Materials offer the world a new way forward. By introducing a more effective, more responsible, and readily available supply, we are shifting demand away from extractive practices and toward a sustainable bioeconomy. Our team is engaged in exciting work to enable us all to move beyond sustainability to real world impact. Our philosophy and sustainability principles help us stay focused on the most critical environmental issues and challenge us to design our products and systems in the most sustainable manner. But we cannot build a bioeconomy alone. We are partnering with companies, developing bio-based supply chains, and speaking with businesses looking to design for sustainability from the start. Together we can create new coalitions to build out the environmentally conscious alternatives our planet desperately needs.
