Northlands is a not for profit, community service based organization that is one of the oldest and largest agriculture societies in Canada. Founded in 1879, Northlands was initially created to bring together farmers, ranchers and agriculturists to share information on what was happening in their industry. Through the years we`ve evolved along with Edmonton and the surrounding region. Today, the scope of our business has expanded to focus on attracting, enabling and facilitating business, trade, sports and entertainment. On our nearly 160 acre campus, Northlands owns and operates the Edmonton EXPO Centre – a 522,000 square foot venue which is the largest Canadian trade and conference facility west of Toronto; Rexall Place – the 26th busiest arena in the world; and Northlands Park – a 250,000 square foot horse racing and gaming entertainment complex. Any surplus Northlands generates is invested back into our infrastructure, events, and most importantly, our community. In 2012 we supported over 50 not for profit cause based organizations by investing over $1.2 million in cash and value into the community. We`re proud to create tomorrow`s memories every day!
