YO1 Center

YO1 Center is a destination well-being place which enhances health, agility and longevity and brings your state of mind to bliss and happiness. Built at the erstwhile Kutsher`s Resort in lush green surroundings that have two large lakes, it gives guests the opportunity to naturally revitalize their mind and body by employing the Eastern practices brought all the way from India, namely Naturopathy (or Nature Cure), Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, Diet and Nutrition. YO1 (or Yauvan) in Sanskrit means Youth. It is the golden period in every human being`s life between teenage and adulthood. It highlights the yogic behavior of every individual in all walks of life. YO1 represents the manifestation of Yoga to fulfill the human quest of attaining eternal youth, through a complete rejuvenation of mind, body and soul. YO1 is about You+1, the literal Sanskrit meaning of Yoga being the `divine union`.

Boston Public Health Commission

We are one of the nation`s first health departments and trace our roots back to 1799, when Paul Revere was named Boston`s first health officer. Back then, the board of health was formed to fight a potential outbreak of cholera. Taking innovative strides to save lives, health officials posted signs on lampposts, held meetings and led an early-day public information campaign to reduce deaths due to cholera, a highly preventable disease. Two hundred years later, that tradition of prevention continues through the Boston Public Health Commission. While we are the country`s oldest health department, we pride ourselves on having some of the most innovative services for our residents. Described as "the most activist arm of city government," by the Boston Globe, the Commission has a vigorous commitment to the health of Boston.
