Brown Bottling Group

Brown Bottling Group was founded in 1971 as Pepsi Cola of Southern Mississippi. Brown Bottling Group is a franchise distributor for Pepsi Cola and Cadbury Beverages representing the top selling products in virtually every category of the beverage industry covering soft drinks, juices, sport drinks, water, coffee and tea. Pepsi Cola of Southern Mississippi operated a bottling and sales plant in Jackson and sales distribution centers in Meridian and Hattiesburg. In the beginning times were hard, profits were low, but with persistence the company began to grow, new brands and packages were added to the product line, new advertising trials and new business. With growth came expansion, and in 1985 the company purchased eight acres in the Hawkins Field Industrial Park and developed a separate facility for its food service division. In 1988, Bill Brown was promoted to President of the company. He reorganized operations and changed the name from Pepsi Cola of Southern Mississippi to Brown Bottling Group to better position the company for growth. Bill continued the company`s expansion by establishing a corporate office now located on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland, MS. Management, marketing, accounting and human resources were relocated away from the sales and warehouse divisions. Growth continued in 1989 when Brown Bottling purchased the franchise rights for McComb and Natchez adding 16 more counties to the service area. Taking care of the beverage needs of Mississippi largest customer base is a big job. It takes the combined efforts of all 350+ employees working together to make Brown Bottling Group Mississippi`s preferred refreshment provider. Texas Chemical Council, Inc.

Texas Chemical Council (TCC) is a statewide trade association of chemical manufacturing facilities in Texas. TCC represents 70 member companies who operate over 200 manufacturing and research facilities across the state. Organized in 1953, TCC was the first state trade association in the U.S. to represent the interests of the petrochemical industry. The primary concern then was to present a unified position on state tax policy. As the chemical industry grew in size and importance in Texas, TCC expanded its representation of the chemical industry on other important issues including environmental protection, employee and process safety, energy policy, and tort reform. TCC members produce thousands of products that improve the quality of life for billions of people around the world. The Texas Chemical industry directly employs more than 75,000 Texans and indirectly generates nearly a half-million Texas jobs. The business and affairs of the Council are managed by a Board of Directors chosen from among TCC member company representatives. TCC maintains a full-time Austin office with a professional staff that work with the Texas Legislature and state agencies, and provides education and professional services to Council members.
