The original Qumu technology for managing and publishing video content was built by eScene Networks in 1999. eScene was acquired by Inktomi in 2001` and Inktomi invested significantly to advance the product and sell it under the name Media Publisher. In 2014` Qumu acquired the London-based video platform provider` Kulu Valley` rebranding their video platform as Qumu Cloud. In addition to expanding further into Europe and the UK` the merger has combined the strengths of both video platforms to make an even more powerful and versatile solution.
