With close to 100% yield, energy is saved and waste eliminated throughout the process. Competing technologies create 70-75% scrap and are forced to either send it to landfill or put it back into the supply chain, increasing energy and carbon waste dramatically. It`s a similar story with battery materials. Traditional processes generate large amounts of pollutants, consume huge quantities of water, use energy-intensive processes and take 2-3 days for production. The UniMelt produces material in 1-2 seconds, produces zero hazardous waste, achieves a 6X reduction in water usage, and a 3x reduction in power usage and CO2 emissions.
Nisus` mission is to offer quality, sustainable pest control and wood preservative products to industry professionals while providing the lowest possible impact to the environment. Many of our products use borate as an active ingredient. Borates are mineral salts that are mined from the earth and while they are deadly to insect pests, they have extremely low mammalian toxicity and pose minimal risk to people, pets and the environment. In our wood preservation division, we manufacture copper naphthenate under the QNAP® brand and a Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate (DOT) borate wood preservative under the Cellutreat® brand. QNAP can be used as a stand-alone or as a dual treatment with Cellutreat. Cellutreat can be used as a dual treatment with QNAP or creosote. Both are EPA-registered “general use” preservatives and standardized by the American Wood Protection Association (AWPA).
