To deliver this vision, we continually look for ways to improve upon our existing business operations. Consistent with this goal, in July of 2012, Cytec acquired Umeco, an international provider of advanced composite and process materials. The subsequent integration of Umeco strengthened our core aerospace business and positioned our company to capitalize on the growth available in the high performance industrial market for advanced composites.
Later that year, in December of 2012, we changed the names of the business units to more effectively communicate to customers our brand identity of delivering specialty material and chemical technologies. Our company is now comprised of four business segments: Aerospace Materials, Industrial Materials, In Process Separation and Additive Technologies.
Cytec is a company that embraces growth. To further realign our portfolio, in April of 2013 we completed the sale of the Coating Resins business to Advent International. This divestiture allowed Cytec to focus on our growth platforms in the advanced materials and separation technologies businesses. As a forward-thinking, global company, we are always looking for opportunities to further distinguish Cytec from our competition.
