The City of Ballwin is a fourth class city under Missouri law with a Mayor-Alderman-City Administrator form of government. The Board of Aldermen consists of eight members, two Aldermen are elected from each of four wards. The Mayor and Aldermen serve two year terms, with four Aldermen being elected each year.
