Unlike a bank, where dividends are paid only to the stockholders, CUA`s dividends are paid back to the entire membership in the form of lower loan rates and higher dividend rates on deposit accounts. To utilize CUA services, a share/savings account is required, with a minimum balance of $25 for adult accounts. CUA still focuses on serving educators in numerous school districts: Wichita, Derby, Haysville, Andover, Anthony-Harper, Maize, Goddard, Great Bend, and Salina just to name a few. And with that focus we have special programs for educators including guaranteed teacher loans and classroom grants. We also focus on healthcare workers, specifically serving employees of the Via Christi Health System and Central Kansas Medical Center, among others. Our healthcare specific services include continuing education scholarships and guaranteed healthcare worker loans.
