Formed in 1951, the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County (HHC) is a municipal corporation established by Indiana code 16-22-8. An appointed seven-member Board of Trustees governs HHC. the Mayor of Indianapolis appoints three members, the County Commissioners appoint two and the City-County Council appoints two, with staggered terms of four years each.

In Oklahoma, SSM includes St. Anthony Hospital, Bone and Joint Hospital at St. Anthony, and St. Anthony Physicians as well as a network of 20 Saints 1st affiliated hospitals.
