In October 2002, all of the Community Development Districts entered into an Interlocal Agreement that created the Inter-District Authority to operate and maintain Town Hall. In 2006, the Districts agreed to grant the IDA additional powers to provide administrative, financial, and operations and maintenance services to the Districts and the Homeowners' Associations. The IDA was also appointed to act as the District Manager for each of the Districts and was granted authority to hire personnel to manage all of these activities. The current Interlocal Agreement sets forth the duties and responsibilities of the IDA as well as the allocation of expenses to member Districts.
As New Jersey's capital county, Mercer County is a center for commerce and culture in the Garden State. With a highly skilled and educated labor pool we're also home to Princeton University, Rider University, The College of New Jersey, Thomas Edison State College and Mercer County Community College. The county holds some of the state's greatest cultural and historic sites with Revolutionary War battle sites in Trenton and Princeton. Recreation and entertainment are abundant with first-class parks, four public golf courses, and the New York Yankees AA-affiliate, Trenton Thunder at Arm & Hammer Park. In 1956, the Legislature passed a bill creating DWR to plan, design, construct, and oversee the building of the nation`s largest state-built water development and conveyance system. Today, DWR protects, conserves, develops, and manages much of California`s water supply including the State Water Project which provides water for 27 million Californians and 750,000 acres of farmland Working with other agencies and the public, DWR develops strategic goals, and near-term and long-term actions to conserve, manage, develop, and sustain California`s watersheds, water resources, and management systems. DWR also works to prevent and respond to floods, droughts, and catastrophic events that would threaten public safety, water resources and management systems, the environment, and property. Balancing the State`s water needs with environmental protection remains a long-term challenge.
