The City of Farmington Organization The City of Farmington has a Council-Manager form of government consisting of a Mayor and four City Council Members from single member districts. The City Manager who is appointed by the City Council performs the duties of Chief Administrative Officer of the City, as defined by state statutes and municipal code. The City Manager serves as policy advisor to the Major and Council and provides leadership, coordination, and management for the affairs of the City to ensure effective community services. The City has 1,023 full time and seasonal employees, a general fund budget of approximately $56.2 million, and a total budget of over $253 million.
