The Convergent Research team helps incubate and launch Focused Research Organizations, a new model to fill gaps in the R&D ecosystem to tackle global challenges as Schmidt Futures Network`s first initiative. The New Mexico Consortium (NMC) is a non-profit corporation that was created in 2006 by the University of New Mexico (UNM), New Mexico State University (NMSU), and New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (NM Tech) in partnership with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to advance statewide collaboration in science research and promote collaboration. Science is increasingly collaborative; tackling problems at a large scale requires cross-institutional, cross-disciplinary teams.
