Our vision is to eliminate traffic fatalities altogether. Every one fatality counts, every one is one too many. The California Office of Traffic Safety`s mission is to effectively and efficiently administer traffic safety grants while fostering partnerships to deliver innovative programs that reduce traffic deaths, injuries, and economic losses. The California Office of Traffic Safety provides funding for programs involving drunk and drugged driving, seat belt usage, child safety seats, motorcycle safety, bicycle safety, pedestrian safety, older drivers, teen drivers, emergency medical services, distracted driving, speeding, red light running and other traffic safety issues.
