Kinnek was started in 2012 in New York City, when co-founders Rui Ma and Karthik Sridharan noticed that small business owners were stuck in a rut when it came to how they bought things for their businesses. They needed customized equipment, customized machinery, supplies in customized quantities- and they didnt have the massive resources necessary to have a dedicated team of purchasing managers to handle all that complexity.
Qt is currently being developed by The Qt Company, a publicly listed company, and the Qt Project under open-source governance, involving individual developers and organizations working to advance Qt.
