In February 2010, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources received $7.8 million in federal funds as part of the State Health Information Exchange Cooperative Agreement Program. The West Virginia Health Information Network (WVHIN) is using these funds to launch WVHIN’s statewide electronic health information exchange services.
