Through oversight provided by the local elected officials from DeSoto, Hardee, and Highlands counties, our Board of Directors offer workforce development related growth opportunities to Business Customers and Job Seekers throughout our Tri-County service delivery area. Through oversight provided by the local elected officials from DeSoto, Hardee, and Highlands counties, our Board of Directors offer workforce development related growth opportunities to Business Customers and Job Seekers throughout our Tri-County service delivery area. As one of twenty-four Regional Workforce Boards in Florida, we oversee the workforce and talent development activities in the tri-county region, collaborating with numerous private and public sector organizations and businesses to enhance the local economy. Our Board has a diversified membership with a majority of the members from the private (business) sector. The Board also includes representatives from secondary and post-secondary education institutions, Economic Development commissions, and community based organizations.
