Whoever you are, you will be accepted here at Mount Wachusett Community College. At the Mount, we see each student as a whole person. You may excel at some things and struggle with others. We understand that you may work or balance a family as you take classes. Our faculty and advisors are here to help you grow and achieve success. We are an affordable community college. Keep in mind that other colleges may cost more, but that doesn`t mean they`re worth more. At the Mount, you will get a quality education that can take you places. Marked by more than a century of tradition since its founding by Booker T. Washington in 1881, Tuskegee University is known not only for being among the nation`s premier historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), but for its openness to all. An independent and state-related institution of higher education, TU is Alabama`s only private land-grant university. Its programs serve a student body numbering more than 3,000 students that is coeducational as well as racially, ethnically and religiously diverse. With a strong orientation toward disciplines that highlight the relationship between education and workforce preparation in the sciences, professions and technical areas, Tuskegee University also emphasizes the importance of the liberal arts as a foundation for successful careers in all areas. Academic instruction occurs in five colleges and three schools: the Andrew F. Brimmer College of Business & Information Science; College of Agriculture, Environment & Nutrition Sciences; College of Arts & Sciences; College of Engineering; College of Veterinary Medicine; Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture & Construction Science; School of Education; and School of Nursing & Allied Health.
