In addition, 8 elementary schools feed into the District. Elmhurst, Illinois, located 17 miles due west of Chicago, is a residential suburban community with a population of approximately 43,000. Elmhurst District 205`s boundaries also include some households from Addison, Bensenville and Oak Brook. Elmhurst College, a four-year liberal arts college, is also located within the District`s boundaries.
