DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive support on all Human Resources related issues to employees and management for Law, Claims, State/Government Affairs and Public Affairs, Network Strategy, Corporate Communications and Compliance/Audit internal clients.
Responsibilities include: serve as strategic partner to assigned leadership teams in developing high performing teams; enhance and develop leaders consistent with BNSF Leadership Model; provide employee counseling, information and support; implementing management training efforts, and other Company sponsored initiatives; support of company Diversity programs; talent planning; coordination of internal selection and placement; performance management program coordination; employment and staffing forecasting; provide guidance on local salary and benefit administration and other compensation and benefits issues. Lead all efforts regarding AAP/EEO monitoring and compliance, internal complaints; investigation and resolution, represent Company in administrative proceedings, hearings and settlement negotiations.
Oversee the development, communications, and execution of all BNSF federal contractor compliance requirements. Support the AVP, HR & Diversity in the implementation of enterprise-wide leading EEO/AA best practices and initiatives to include harassment prevention and compliance training. Design and deliver training EEO/AA training with proactive coverage and as needed or requested; provide supporting consults and thought leadership to businesses and functional areas relating to affirmative action planning, implementation and evaluation. Lead OFCCP desk audit compliance reviews; stay abreast of and ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements; serve as an EEO/AA subject matter expert in responding to relevant and related questions. Oversee administration of company accommodation review and interactive process, in partnership with various stakeholders. Assist with other assignments as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor`s degree required
• Minimum of 8 years` experience in human resources and with extensive understanding of HR practices policies and protocols
• Prior work experience with a government contractor
• Strong working knowledge of AAP, OFCCP audit process
• Strong working knowledge of state/federal employment laws
• Strong working knowledge of ADA and accommodations handling
• Prior experience in EEO charge handling and investigation required.
• Extensive training instruction experience
• Strong people leader experience
• Sound judgment and proven managerial maturity
• Ability to balance responsibilities of management agent and employee advocate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of people and management at all levels
• Must be able to work in high volume, rapidly changing environment
• Proven ability to manage confidential information and work with discretion on sensitive topics
• Ability to travel when needed
