The Charlotte Host Committee, CLT Host 2020, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) not for profit economic development organization with no political affiliation. CLT Host 2020, Inc. is responsible for hosting and funding the 2020 Republican National Convention to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina from August 24 - 27, 2020. As an economic development organization, CLT Host 2020, Inc. will highlight the Queen City`s premier business environment which supports the skilled and diverse workforce responsible for the region`s growth in national and international corporate offices and local businesses. The Charlotte region, North Carolina, and South Carolina offer an undeniable energy, full of passionate people from all walks of life whose differences make our communities stronger. CLT Host 2020, Inc. aims to showcase these characteristics and how our residents have created a world-class convention and event destination that attracts sporting events, corporate functions, and international art and musical tours. CLT Host 2020, Inc. is excited for the 2020 Republican National Convention and the positive experience it will bring for Charlotte, our community, and everyone involved – residents, businesses, and guests. This event will be a tremendous undertaking and will require committed volunteers from across the region, our two states, and the nation. And plans are progressing to expand the Trolley 11 miles from Old Town to UCSD and University Town Center.
