The Student Athlete Foundation of Kansas City (SAFEKC) is the only nonprofit organization in the Midwest dedicated exclusively to providing athletic training and sports medicine services at a significantly reduced cost to schools and youth organizations. SAFEKC board-certified athletic trainers provide prevention, direct care and management of injuries, concussions and other medical conditions, Were improving health care access for the thousands of high school and middle-school students we serve the Kansas City area. As a community nonprofit, were creating safer environments in our schools and communities for students to benefit from safe, healthy activities, nutrition and exercise. SAFEKC provides athletic training services for practices and games, and continuity of care for concussions, injuries and athletes with chronic medical conditions. In partnership with physicians and specialists throughout the metro, we provide reduced-cost physicals, cardiac screenings, concussion screening and management, and physical therapy and rehabilitation.
