The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority also provides health care support to nearly half a million Manitobans who live beyond these boundaries as well as residents of Northwestern Ontario and Nunavut who require the services and expertise available within the Winnipeg Health Region.    More than 13,000 people are directly employed by the Region with over 27,000 engaged in health care services in the Winnipeg Health Region.
