Our suite of proprietary technologies (protected by more than 70 issued patents and patent applications) has enabled us to develop dozens of novel therapeutic proteins for our partners and our own pipeline. We accelerate the process from target discovery to manufacturing and preclinical studies by creating drugs with more selective targeting, greater affinity, and more cost-efficient and predictable manufacturing. In the process we also create valuable, protectable IP that gives our partners significant competitive advantage. The culmination of our protein evolution technologies is our Conditionally Active Biologics (CAB)platform. Monoclonal antibodies or enzymes can be engineered for selective conditional activation, i.e. the protein`s functions are designed to modulate with changes in microphysical conditions (e.g., pH level, oxidation, temperature, pressure concentration, presence of certain ions, hydrophobicity and competing protein binding). Tumors and other kinds of diseased tissue give rise to unique localized conditions distinct from normal tissue. CAB designed monoclonal antibodies can be programmed to deliver an ADC payload and/or recruit the immune response to specific sites and conditions in the body.
